LBScent Decants
A custom Shopify storefront for a fragrance sample shop: a tailored theme with custom sections, a seasonal product rail, scent-family collections, and a catalog built to grow.
The Story
LBScent Decants sells hand-decanted samples of designer and niche fragrances, so customers can wear a scent for a week before spending a few hundred dollars on a full bottle. The business lives or dies on two things: trust that every sample is authentic, and browsing that makes it easy to find the next scent to try.
A stock Shopify theme could sell products, but it could not tell that story. The store needed to feel like a luxury fragrance counter while staying fast, simple to manage, and ready for a growing catalog.
The Process
We started from Shopify's own Dawn theme for its speed and long-term support, then customized it into a dark, gold-accented luxury storefront. Two custom theme sections carry the brand: a value bar that answers the trust questions up front (authentic, hand-decanted, try before you commit, fast shipping), and a seasonal rail that features what to wear right now.
Behind the scenes, we organized the catalog by scent family (Warm and Spicy, Woody, Fresh and Aquatic, Gourmand) and by season, set up 2, 5, and 10 ml size options on every product, and built the catalog through structured spreadsheet imports so new fragrances can be added in bulk. Custom hero, collection, and product imagery gives every page the same polished look.

The Solution
The finished store at lbscent.com looks and feels like a premium fragrance brand while running on Shopify's reliable checkout, including Shop Pay, customer reviews, and an email signup for new arrivals. The owner manages products and seasonal collections from the standard Shopify admin, with no code required for day-to-day updates.
